To SKiP THE CRAP GO to 1:34
90 Watt Monocrystalline and 2 6V Deep Cycle batteries powering a Mesa Boogie F-50 and a 1972 Matsumoku Vantage Les Paul knock off guitar – on the tailgate of my truck. Oddly, the Canadian Tire 1500W modified sine wave inverter does an alright job powering the amp. I tried my pure sine wave WAGAN 300W inverter and it sounded like shit! I think the frequency of the inverter (the WAGAN) is out of whack or something. I also noticed it ran loads at a different watt reading than grid AC did. Go figure.
If I play in bright sunshine, the solar panel basically supplies the necessary energy, the battery doesn’t really drop any if at all. Free Blues!
