I thought I would show the figures you will expect to see in real time if you plan on getting yourself a couple of 120w solar panels and a 350w grid-tie inverter.
The left meter is my grid usage and the right meter is showing the energy from my grid-tie inverter.
It is interesting to see the when producing 200w from 50w with the solar panels, an increase of 150w, the mains grid wattage drops by about 75w, half that. If someone can tell me why that would be great.
The last 12 months of the setup has seen a reduction of 20% of my bill so it has paid for itself already and I am already thinking about repeating my setup to bring down my bill further.
80w drop on the left (the grid) after about 40 seconds is due to my fish tank heater switching off.
