MPPT Charge Controller Review – EPSolar EPEver Tracer A Series – 12v Solar Shed

In this video I’m looking at the EPEver Tracer A MPPT charge controller. I open the box, look inside the case and fire the charge controller up for some initial testing. I also look at what parameters you can change in the menu system.

This is a fairly new MPPT charge controller on the market. A new version in the tracer range from EPSolar who have branded it under the name EPEver. The integrated screen is unique within the tracer series, but the eTracer and iTracer controllers have one too.

It comes in 10 amp (1210A), 20 amp (2210A), 30 amp (3210A) and 40 amp (4210A) versions. All of them are slightly different physical sizes as well as being designed for larger currents. All of them allow your panel open voltage to be up to 100 volts – or more accurately 92 volts at 25 degrees centigrade.

In a future video I intend to look at connecting this charge controller to a USB cable and seeing what else I can change and monitor from my PC – so why not subscribe to ensure you see that video too!

This charge controller uses a common positive design which meant I couldn’t use the arduino test rig I used in my review of the eBay Eco-Worthy MPPT Solar Charge Controller: https://youtu.be/JgWAa7dmn98

Thanks for watching – It’d be great to hear your comments.
