Could a giant crystal ball be the future of solar energy! Well, a German scientist believes his invention could replace the traditional solar panels.
Designed by German architect, Andre Broessel, the invention uses a large glass sphere lens that collects light from multiple angles. The lens focuses this light into a fine beam, much like a magnifying glass, which can deliver a greater amount of sunlight, around 70 percent more than traditional panels. This enables you to reduce the size of the solar panel to around one percent of a typical device. The system currently costs six thousand dollars to be fitted in a home, but with a price cut, we could see this new invention in our homes soon.
