The previous quote pretty well covers it. I would add that SunPower are the old boys in the good old boys category of solar voltaic. They were selling solar conversion to NASA back in the 80′s. Their latest works have been officially recognized at 24%. This specific mono-silicon is flexible and converts at 22%. the breaking point to compete with commercial power is 19%.
