Spotted a Solar Updraft Tower kit in the shops and thought I could probably make one from scratch. I couldn’t find any black card and I failed to make a nice spiral spinney thing and it was raining today so no chance of testing it in sunlight, not that there would be enough sunlight this time of year. It does work with a simple propeller and using a spotlight to heat the tower.
SAFETY NOTE: The spotlight could easily overheat the cardboard and possibly cause a fire so DO NOT LEAVE THIS UNATTENDED

I used a pin for the balance point, any reasonably pointy item should do.
Finding some suitable shapes for the propeller/fan spinning thing might be a good idea.
