OK, THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVE HAD ON MY MIND FOR A WILE BUT I JUST COULDN’T FIND A NIGHT LIGHT I COULD CONVERT.
I FOUND THIS AT DOLLAR TREE. ITS A FIBER OPTIC LIGHT THAT TAKES 3 AA BATTERIES. I OPENED THIS UP AND REMOVED THE LIGHTS AND ELECTRONICS. I THEN TOOK A SOLAR POWERED SIDEWALK LIGHT AND REMOVED THE LIGHT AND ELECTRONICS FROM IT AND INSTALLED IN THE PINK FIBER OPTIC LIGHT. I SOLDERED BATTERY LEADS TO ONE POST OF THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT BECAUSE YOU ONLY NEED ONE AA BATTERY FOR THIS LIGHT.
I WAS THINKING WHAT I COULD PUT TO SOLAR CELL IN SO IT WOULD LOOK GOOD HANGING ON THE WINDOW SO I JUST PUT IT BACK IN THE SIDEWALK LIGHT COVER. I THINK IT WILL LOOK GOOD AND YOU CAN PAINT IT OR GLUE COLORFUL CLOTH TO IT, MAYBE MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A HAPPY FACE SUN. WHATEVER YOU WANT. I’LL ATTACH IT TO THE WINDOW BY A SUCTION CUP.
I HAD SOME WIRE I GOT FROM AND OLD AC ADAPTER CHARGER I DIDN’T USE FOR ANYTHING AND SOLDERED IT TO THE LEADS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD AND THEN SOLDERED THE OTHER END TO THE SOLAR CELL.
I PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER WITH A LITTLE HOT GLUE AND BAM! I HAVE A SOLAR POWERED NIGHT LIGHT I CAN PUT IN MY DAUGHTERS ROOM.
