We’re excited to share that the City of Anaheim is going green! Just last year, the city installed a 2.4 MW solar array at the Anaheim Convention Center that contains nearly 8,000 Yingli Solar panels. This clean energy system energizes almost 200 events at the Convention Center annually, including this year’s Solar Power International conference, the solar industry’s largest tradeshow in the U.S. Thanks to this project, the City of Anaheim is ahead of its goal to source 33% of its energy from renewable resources by 2020.
The construction of this solar light is very simple even though I managed to make it sound complicated. The solar light is working out very well although I have to admit the bigger solar panel that I am using probably make the light more robust. The QX5252 all in one chip is very inexpensive if you buy it in bulk. About 10 cents a piece.
This light is based on Youtuber MrFreddiew1′s design. He used a 33uH inductor and he has many different version of this light.
