The project idea in one sentence: Stand alone desalination system that uses renewable energy .
First sponsors have to be found and the system was built.
Then parameters (pressure, flow) were measured and the system curve developed.
We took a microcontroller from ATMEL to test the desalination process and it works very well.
A first problem was found: The radiation of the sun can vary very fast, specially if there are clouds.
Our next step is to replace the microcontroller with a PLC.
How to build solar panels
