After dealing with the death of my father, to help me get my noddle (brain and emotions) straight we came home to work for a day and change. Work around the homestead helps me heal and get back on tract.
We planted a small garden and will plant more later.
Got rid of the 2 extra roosters.
Had to replace the belts on the rotor mower for the tractor and had to replace the belt on the riding mower.
Put up some bird feeders.
Got a new rear tine rotor tiller to help in the garden.
FINALLY fixed the rain collection system were I dont have to move the hose from barrel to barrel. Its all plumbed in now giving us just over 600 gallons of rain water storage plus several other barrels we can transfer into. And we have the main 275 gallon tote in our utility room out of the weather.
Mowed a couple fields and the front yard.
did some normal cleanup around the cabin. Our homestead is slowly coming together.

This Progress Report video was completed for the 2013 CGI Annual Meeting. It details progress on Border Green Energy Team’s commitment to action, Restoration of Solar Home Systems in Rural Thailand. In 2011, Border Green Energy Team (BGET) committed to restoring and expanding solar energy access to 100 homes in rural Thailand. As renewable energy options are often cost-prohibitive in this region, BGET will employ a new model that provides affordable micro-loans for those seeking access to high-quality and warranty-backed solar systems. In addition, BGET will create three local jobs by training and hiring three local villagers to be franchisees who provide installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance services for the solar systems.
