A couple years ago, we had a photovoltaic system installed at our home. Consisting of 18 235-Watt panels, I documented the installation in a video here on YouTube:
Since then, I’ve had a few requests for a tour of the system. Two problems with a tour are that the house is in the middle of nowhere, and that there’s really not a lot to see. Be that as it may, this video gives a quick tour of the system, showing the components and how they function.
I shot this with a Canon Vixia HF-S30 camcorder and a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 digital camera. I edited it with Corel VideoStudio Pro x4.

This video shows a quick and simple adaptation that you can do on several models of the IKEA LED lights that they make for their cabinet systems. This one is about the easiest of the bunch to deal with, the LEDBERG modular light bar. It comes with three sections but more sections can be added to make a continuous light. The modification leaves you with the 110v to 12v transformer (or 240v to 12v if you are in the European market) to use in other projects.
