  • I only want to temporarily attach wires to one of my solar panels so I do just that in this video. I show the whole process as a how to DIY tutorial.

What would be the best model to develop solar power in California?

If the state would issue funds to authorize each town, each city, to build one solar powered home, big enough for 6 families, with 100 solar panels on the roof, each home could generate enough energy for 5 homes around it.

By using all the modern ideas of double pane windows, geo-thermal absorbing heat from the basement, thick walls, etc. the homes would have zero need for energy. Thus it could sell 80% of the energy is generates from solar. The home could make an income of $500. a month from solar.

Once people saw how much money a home with 100 solar panels was making, many more people would copy this model and this would set off a wave of replacing old homes with new solar powered homes.

In 5 years we could have each town generating 30%+ of its own energy from roof top solar. This would eventually allow us to generate enough solar energy to shut down fracking, coal, oil & atomic energy. Decentralization.

This would shift energy income to home owners with solar.

By building one new solar powered home in each town, we could build them in an old section of town, with a green belt vegetable farm built around it, where there are no trees to shade the roof.

Decentralization. This would create new solar powered homes and a new vision of how to shut down Diablo Canyon, since each neighborhood would now be generating its own solar energy. Once we achieve each city generating 30% of its energy from solar it would be easier to eliminate fossil fuels.

AB 327 authorizes the CPUC to require PG&E to pay solar home owners a premium rate for solar, like $0.49 kwh, for selling solar onto our grid.
This is the best policy that has been developed by humans to shift the income from energy generation, and away from centralized coal, oil, nukes & gas.
