It allows me to use it as a buffer between the solar panels and anything I am charging. Hopefully the coolbox will stay ‘cool’ 24/7 or at least long enough for a week long camp. It will run for a full 7 hrs without any extra charge coming in from the sun.

Norwich Solar Technologies co-founder and president Joel Stettenheim spoke to the students at Cardigan Mountain School about their 964kW, net-metered, distributed generation photovoltaic system which we installed in 2016. The project is expected to generate 1,200,000kWh of clean solar electricity in year 1, saving Cardigan Mountain School around 10% for that net-metered solar energy. Over the first 25 years of the array, it will produce net-metered power valued at more than $4,000,000 and offset the equivalent of over 26,000,000 lbs. of Carbon Dioxide emissions.
