Laura and Matt built their tiny home on a mountain property in North Carolina. They used Tumbleweed tiny house plans but modified the design to fit on a foundation. Lugging their tools and materials up the hill, the construction of their tiny dream cabin was a tiring process. This tiny home was most definitely built with love!
Laura and Matt’s tiny home is completely off-grid. They draw power from their solar system and bring drinking water in by hand. The home is heated with a propane heater in the winter. Laura and Matt share the space with their cat, Piglet, and enjoy the solitude of their mountain surroundings.
Laura has written a book on tiny living and maintains an informational blog on the subject. She also speaks about her experience at events, such as the Tiny House Conference.
