My Solar grid tie inverters Just arrived, so i wanted to test them out, 3 pm not optimal sunlight but enough. I am using small solar grid tie inverters, with 3 x 285watt panels. It is soon to be mounted on the roof, I wanted to test the system and see if my electric meter will go backwards! Sure enough it does, and then goes forwards when i turn off the solar as you see in the video. Then, the final clip at the end shows it spinning fast forward as i have all the appliances on in the house and then turn them off. It begins slowing and then i turn on the solar and the meter again goes backwards. If i add more solar panels i will get it to go faster and i already have tried adjusting the angle and got 20 more watts in the 3 pm winter sun. You can see it producing around 365 watts in 3 pm sun at the off angle. Wait till i install them properly. Thanks for checking my video out!
Cheap DIY Solar installation at only 28c per Watt. Net meter is yet to be installed by Level 2 electrician.
Like most things – if you shop around for a good deal you often will find it eventually instead of paying through the nose for things..
Australia has a lot of installation requirements which they keep adding to each year it seems…some things a bit ridiculous but have matched it for a proper install.
