Off Grid Solar Power – Pushing the Boundaries on the Midnite Solar Kid and Testing the Hyper VOC
While I’m working on my new 2kW/48V solar power system, I’ve decided to use some of the panels on my existing 24V system. What I’ve found is that during the early morning, I can only run three panels in series but as the day progresses, I can safely add a fourth panel to counter the voltage loss from the hotter panels.
Despite voltages in excess of 150V, the Midnite Solar Kid is just powering on. I love this thing!
