In this video, I will start a project to use solar energy to power ESP8266 or Arduino devices during the whole year.
We wll answer the following questions:
1. What size the solar panel has to be in order to power our device
2. What size of battery we need to survive times with less or without sun?

This is a survival kit I have been working on. Doing a little modification to the waterproof case by adding a yard light solar panel and a compass/thermometer.
The stuff inside are just things I threw together, I will be adding other things and removing some later. just wanted to show the case for what it is.
After modifying the case, I used a cheap solar yard light, stripped it and cut an opening on the case lid to fit, then epoxy and sealed it into the case lid. Then did the same thing with the compass/thermometer.
When used, the solar panel will charge AA batteries during the day and will also be a night light in camp/bugout or what have you at night. the compass will help you where ever and the thermometer is good to have also.
The contents will be better sorted later.
