My Parents’ Solar Power System – Upgraded

If you haven’t, check it out. Anyway, I bought my parents a 250W solar panel for the new house that they’ve been building for about the last five years now. At least now they can run a TV & DVD player from it, as well as other small appliances.
This system cost:
250W PV panel…$250
2 x 200AM AGM deep cycle batteries…$300
300W modified sine wave inverter…$30
LED volt meter…$5
Various cables…$10 from the tip shop.
So not a REAL cheap option, but inexpensive enough for me and it’s already made a huge difference in their lives.
