Another view of my new solar-powered pond aerator working well in direct sunlight (only). A cloud goes over the sun and the pump stops, but thats fine – better to have the pump working when it’s hot and sunny if at all. Promotes destratification and a movement on top of the water surface for O2 to be absorbed better (the actual bubble will not diffuse into the water in case you thought that). Quite noisy and work in progress (plastic covering grass seed) but I’m very pleased to say it works – and is purely powered by the sun. Awooga.
