What do you do when it is 102 degrees outside and the power goes out?
How will you keep your elders and children heat stoke or worse (death)?
Or, even if there is not problem with the grid, is there a simple way to keep your livestock (chickens, rabbits, dogs..) comfortable during the hot summer months?
Usually rabbits can’t breed in the heat – but watch this video to see how we managed to have healthy babies, happy mother, and sexually viable daddy rabbit in the middle of July! This alone is a huge breakthrough for small scale meat production in the hot summer months.
As usual, all this is done very simply, easily, and of course – without electricity. A must see video for anyone living where it gets HOT. Click here to watch the video now:

My first attempt at making solar panels. The 36 5 X 5 cells in this panel actually cost me $78. not $86. because they gave me 20 extra cells when I ordered 200. I had the tempered glass ordered from a glass shop and that came to $39. they gave me a 10 % discount if I ordered 5. It was just clear tempered glass though not Low Iron glass. That would have been more money. This panel should be between 82 to 92 Watts with the cell specifications. It is an 18 volt panel for a 12 volt system. I was in to much of a hurry with the sylgard 184 that I used to encapsulate this. That’s why I got so many air bubbles. There’s a guy named Mark with a good video of how to do it right. Look for solar panel frames on Ebay and you’ll find him. So $78. for cells, $50. for sylgard 184,$39. for tempered 1/4 inch glass, $14 for the 1-1/2 X1/8 aluminum and about $5. for stainless, screws, terminal block, wire etc. So that comes to $186.00 for this panel. $2.02 per watt. I’ve seen panels at Sunelec.com for $1.82 per watt but then there is 2 panel min order and $ 199. for shipping. But then they are UL approved and you can get the rebates. The next ones the glass only cost me $7. I got it used.
