The micro usb connector on my Power Bank broke off rendering the unit inoperable. It was impossible to solder the micro usb connector back on. In order to make the power pack rechargeable again, I added a lithium ion charging board with a mini usb connector. These board costs a couple of dollars. Charging will be slower as it charges at 1 amp. I connected the output wires to the positive and negative of the pack’s battery connector. While I was at it, I added a small 6 volt solar panel on top of the Power Bank so the pack can be top off by sunlight.

Panelists in this webinar provide an overview of the solar market in Africa. On the grid side, they focus on electricity production and the share of solar generation, grid PV installed capacities, main operational plants, grid PV forecasts and market challenges and opportunities. On the off-grid side, they analyze population and electrification issues, installed capacities by region, the Macro-economic Off-Grid (MOG) model, and Africa’s country rating and forecast to 2020 of cumulative installed capacities by country.
