พระพงศกร สทฺธาธิโก อายุ 24ปี พระนักพัฒนา กำลังควบคุมดูแล การติดตั้งแผงโซล่าเซลล์ ภายในวัดสมหวังวนาราม อ.เมือง จ.สุราษฎร์ธานี เพื่อนำพลังงานแสงแดดมาใช้ภายในวัด ช่วยประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายในเรื่องของกระแสไฟฟ้า
พระพงศกร กล่าวว่า อุปสมบทที่วัดสมหวังวนาราม มานาน 5 ปี และได้ไปศึกษาพระธรรมที่วัดราชณัฐฏา กรุงเทพมหานคร ซึ่งปกติก็มีความสนใจเรื่องพลังงานทดแทนอยู่แล้ว จึงได้ศึกษาด้วยตัวเอง มากว่า 4 ปี ก่อนจะมีโอกาสพบกับญาติโยม ที่มีความรู้ด้านแผงโซล่าเซลล์ จึงได้ริเริ่มทำโครงการทอดผ้าป่าโซ่ล่าเซลล์ ให้กับวัดป่าที่มีความต้องการใช้ไฟฟ้า และนำไปติดตั้งให้ พร้อมทีมงานที่มีความรู้ซึ่งมีจิตศรัทธาร่วมกัน โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายแต่อย่างใด ซึ่งที่ผ่านมา สามารถให้แสงสว่างแก่วัดป่าในพื้นที่ภาคกลางไปแล้วจำนวน 4 วัด
สำหรับในส่วนของวัดสมหวังวนาราม ได้นำแผงโซล่าเซลล์ มีขนาดกำลังการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้า 10 กิโลวัตต์ มูลค่ากว่า 4 แสนบาท มาติดตั้งให้ ซึ่งจะช่วยประหยัดค่าไฟฟ้าได้ประมาณเดือนละ 7-8 พันบาท และจะมีอายุการใช้งานได้ยาวนานถึง 25 ปี เลยทีเดียว
