  • Dimensions are 165×165 mm, and 2.5 mm thick. 4.5W, 520 mA, 6V. I wanted something that can power my weirdo-boat (just need to finish remote for this) and charging lithium ion batteries. Three such panels in series can give 18V, 520 mA, which is sufficient to power up Imax B6 (did not tried, but I will do when weather permits that) for charging small LiPo batteries for quadcopters, or just single panel for USB stock charger for Syma X5C or similar drones. Today is not may day – thunderstorm approaching and no much sunlight, so can’t push those motors to the maximum limit. Still, even with cloudy condition, this boat moves! Another idea is to put many panels together, fixed with something elastic, then fold and it can be carried in backpack. I know, there exist finished version, but it has fixed power, voltage and current. If you make your own, you can build exactly what you want (okay, depend how much money you are willing to invest).     My claim here that placing bubble wrap on a single pane window results in an efficiency gain somewhere between untreated window, and a cheap thermopane seems pretty obvious. What I meant was that the results of my not-too-scientific study were that numbers seemed to post in the center between an entirely different thermopane window, and the untreated single pane window.
