Yesterday I took my camera down to the Coffs Harbour Marina, Australia for a look at the alternate energies used on the boats here. Most of the boats in Australia that I have seen have either solar panels or a wind turbine or both.
The boats here are also quite rich. These are no small cheap boats. Most boats have at least one solar panel and many have multiple solar panels. The sun in Australia is bright and strong so solar panels perform very well here.
Another common sight on the boats here is a wind turbine. Many of the boats have a wind turbine to help power their accessories and off grid living.
The Australians sure do seem to have it together when it comes to alternate energy.
