I had the cables with quick connect plugs made at United Battery in Portland Oregon http://unitedbattery.net/ You can have these custom made in any length you desire and they can be a good idea for permanently mounting in trucks, farm equipment and heavy equipment that is often left out in the cold and frequently either needs to be jump started, or is used to jump start other vehicles which you can use this type of cable to accomplish without having any risk of making a short or other related accident with conventional large alligator clip type connectors
I am using this type of cable for the higher amperage battery bank to battery bank connections on my solar power systems but am also going to be fitting the survival retreat vehicles with this type of cable and connection system. That will allow vehicle jump starting along with battery charging using the solar systems (to charge the vehicle battery) or charging the solar power systems (when we have a string of cloudy days).
It took seven months but the upgrade project of the retreat’s off grid solar power system is done! Time to call for the inspection and move on to something else.
